Angelo Conti was born at Foligno in 1226.  He became a hermit in the community of Blessed John the Good, which joined the newly-formed Augustinian Order in 1254.  He lived at Foligno from 1248 to 1258 and founded Sant' Agostino, Foligno.  In addition:

  1. he founded Sant’ Agostino, Montefalco in 1257 and lived there from 1275 to 1293;

  2. other documents place him:

  3. at Gubbio in 1293 and in 1297; and

  4. at Bevagna in 1306; and

  5. he founded an Augustinian convent at Gualdo Cattaneo before 1300. 

His last years were spent at Sant' Agostino, Foligno, where he died in 1312.  His relics are preserved there.

Pope Leo XIII approved his cult for Foligno in 1881.
