The Compagnia del SS Sacramento founded this church on the site of the demolished Cassero to house a venerated image (16th century) of the Madonna and Child.  The church was demolished in 1841:

  1. The venerated image was moved to the Oratorio della Confraternita del SS Sacramento in Piazza del Duomo and is now in an aedicule in the garden to the right of Palazzo Rosci.

  1. An altarpiece (ca. 1630) of Christ’s agony in the garden  by Francesco Cincinnato was moved to an altar in the Duomo that belonged to the Confraternita del SS Sacramento and is now the Museo Diocesano.
